As everyone knows, the wind likes to blow in eastern Montana. From day one, it has been a battle to try to shelter the delicate vegetable crops from prevailing winds and storms. In a long-term effort to deal with this problem, I have established rows of windbreak trees around the west and north sides of the garden. This will pay great dividends in later years for the apple orchard as well.
This section of the site is still under construction. Come back later to see reports on how our windbreak trees are doing.
